Supafest 4 attendees outraged after postponement

Published: 6:09pm 18 April 2013

Supafest management is facing a PR nightmare after announcing a postponement of the festival just days out from the originally-scheduled start date of the event.

Within the first 15 minutes of Supafest management announcing the cancellation on their Facebook page, over 250 people already expressed their outrage, with a further 180 shared the official announcement with their Facebook friends. Within an hour, this number's grown to over 1000 with almost 500 shares. The number of complaints are growing by the minute.

Many music fans are saying they are particularly angered over feeling left in the dark from Supafest management, ever since industry sources started hinting that the festival was in trouble and after the Brisbane and Melboune venues pulled out.

People were forced to rely on independent sources including ClubbingScene.com.au to keep them in the loop.

Supafest management has informed ticket holders that their tickets are still valid for the November festival, or can be refunded if requested.

All ticket holders will be contacted within the next 48 hours.

Despite this, some fans even booked flights and accommodation in other cities, placing them at an even greater loss.
