Free soft drinks for designated drivers
If you're a designated driver you can take advantage of free soft drinks offered by some nightclubs.
Eligibility for free soft drinks to designated drivers is at the discretion of venues participating in the programs. It usually involves the driver completing a simple registration process at the bar to get a wristband that then lets them get free soft drinks whenever they choose.
On the Gold Cost, there's the Skipper program and Designated Driver program.
In Victoria, Ballarat's designated driver program is making up to 5 free soft drinks or water available to each driver.
Burnie, Tasmania has the Who's DES Tonight program.
In Adelaide, the Holdfast Bay Council has proposed to introduce a designated driver program.
In addition to programs that have rolled out in regions around Australia there are also many individual venues that have rolled out a program on their own.
